Honey can be preserved forever, and have the benefit of being made by bees, who, in order to create the honey, pollonize the area around them and therefore help keep the ecosystem diverse.

Dried lentils are a good solution to the overconsumption of meat. They contain a high level of protein and can be preserved for over a year. They are easy to grow and don't need to be contained in a cold environment - as long as it is dry, they will stay preserved.
